No. Sharing is a separate, explicit choice from following a journey — turning one on never turns the other on for you. You can stop broadcasting with one tap, from the app or straight from the notification.
Your location history is never saved or stored anywhere. The only information kept on our servers is your basic profile — your name and email address from Google sign-in — solely so your friends can identify and connect with you.
It uses a single low-priority foreground notification rather than constant background polling, and stops automatically when you arrive, or the moment you swipe the app away.
Swiping Routro out of your recent apps ends the journey on purpose — it's the obvious, discoverable way to stop everything: the notification clears and your friends stop seeing you move.
